Where these numbers come from

Gas and vehicle factors are the UK government greenhouse gas conversion factors, 2026 edition, which is the set most corporate reporting frameworks point to. Electricity uses published national grid carbon intensity for the country you pick, except for the United Kingdom, which uses the government's own reporting factor because that is what a British company reports against.

Nothing on this page is generated by a language model. Every factor is quoted at the precision it was published at, and the estimator shows the multiplication so the result can be checked rather than trusted. Where no published factor exists for a combination you choose, it says so instead of estimating one.

This covers three inputs. A full corporate footprint is mostly the things it does not cover, and the result names them.

Estimates cover Scope 1 and Scope 2 from the three inputs given, using published conversion factors, and are intended for planning and baseline-setting. For compliance filings or regulatory submissions, confirm results with a certified carbon auditor.
