Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated 13 September 2026
The short version
- Every plan starts with a 14 day free trial. Nothing is charged during it.
- Cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged at all.
- Cancel later and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. It then stops and does not renew.
- We do not pro-rate a part-used period, because the allowance for it stays available to you until it ends.
- If we billed you in error, or the service was unavailable for a period you paid for, we refund it.
1. Who takes the payment
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record. Your contract for the purchase is with Paddle, your invoice and receipt come from them, and any sales tax or VAT is calculated and remitted by them. No card details are stored on our servers at any point.
That means a refund can be arranged by either of us. Writing to us is usually faster, and we can authorise it on your behalf.
2. The free trial
Every plan begins with a 14 day free trial. A payment method is collected when the trial starts so the subscription can continue without a second step, but no payment is taken during the trial.
We email you before the trial ends, so the first charge is never a surprise. If you cancel at any point before it ends, you are not charged anything and there is nothing to refund.
The trial carries 30 assessments, whichever plan you chose. Everything else in the product is available in full.
3. Cancelling
Cancel from Plan and usage inside your account. It is one button. There is no retention call, no form to fill in and nothing to email.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then ends. You can reverse a cancellation from the same screen at any time before that date.
We do not refund the unused part of a period that has already started, because the allowance for that period remains yours to spend until it ends. For a monthly plan that is at most a month; for the Firm plan, which is billed annually, see section 5.
Your account, your retirement ledger and your saved reports are not deleted when a subscription ends. Registry lookup, the compliance price board and your ledger keep working. Only the metered assessments stop.
4. Changing plan
Moving up takes effect immediately. You are charged the difference for the remainder of the current period only, and the larger allowance is available straight away.
Moving down takes effect at your next renewal rather than immediately, so you keep the allowance you have already paid for until the period ends. There is no refund or credit for the difference, because nothing has been taken away from you in the meantime.
5. The annual plan
The Firm plan is billed once a year at $1,600. Its 500 assessments are per month, not per year.
We email you before an annual renewal, so it is never an unexpected charge on a statement.
If an annual renewal has just been taken and you did not intend it, write to us within 30 days and we will refund it in full provided the new period has been substantially unused. This is discretionary rather than a right, and we would rather grant it than argue about it.
6. When we refund without being asked twice
- We billed you in error, charged the wrong amount, or charged an account that had already cancelled.
- You were charged during what should have been a free trial.
- The service was unavailable for a material part of a period you had paid for.
- A duplicate subscription was created on the same account.
In each case we refund the affected period in full. You do not need to argue the point, and we would rather find these ourselves than have you find them.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes any right you have under the law where you live. Consumers in the UK and the EU have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract for digital services within 14 days. Because the 14 day free trial precedes any payment, that period has normally passed without a charge ever being made.
Where a statutory right applies and conflicts with anything above, the statutory right wins.
8. How to ask
Email contact@crbn.credit from the address on the account, or open a ticket from inside your account. Tell us what happened. You do not need to quote a policy section at us.
We aim to reply within one working day and to decide within five. Approved refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method, which typically takes 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
If we decline, we will tell you why in plain terms, and you can still raise it directly with Paddle as the merchant of record.
